Other Organizations Membership

The NAIScholars seeks to partner with organizations outside of the nonprofit sector who are dedicated to advancing education, opportunities for formerly and currently incarcerated people, justice, support, and similar areas of focus. However, we also want to collaborate with organizations who are interested in beginning their journey of engaging in justice-related work. These organizations may include, but are not limited to, educational institutions, community organizations, research institutes, and other mission-aligned organizations.

As an other organization member, you will benefit from: 

• Increased knowledge on justice, incarceration, and education
• Combined efforts to advance opportunities for currently and formerly incarcerated people, leading to broader impact
• Collaborating with educators, researchers, advocates, system-impacted scholars, and likeminded nonprofit organizations
• Opportunities to collaborate on and brainstorm ideas to make real change for real people
• Connecting with system-aware and relevant news updates, as well as newsletter writing opportunities
• The ability to take relevant issues that you care about and turn them into a plan-of-action and national awareness
• Connections with other members, such as currently and formerly incarcerated people, and advance your working knowledge on interactions within carceral settings
