Nonprofit Organization Membership

Nonprofits are one of the driving forces behind work related to incarceration: Organizations driven for social and educational missions are essential in our field of work. Historically, their work has been a driving force for change, opportunity, and working towards equality for system-impacted people. 

As a nonprofit ourselves, we are driven towards connecting with organizations who work in justice fields, or who strive to make a difference in educational and scholarship opportunities for currently and formerly incarcerated people. We are open to membership from both nonprofits working directly in the field of justice, and those whose missions align broadly with education, professional opportunities, and equality.

As a nonprofit organization member, you will benefit from 

• Combined efforts to advance opportunities for currently and formerly incarcerated people, leading to broader impact
• Connect with educators, researchers, advocates, system-impacted scholars, and likeminded nonprofit organizations
• Opportunities to collaborate on and brainstorm ideas to make real change for real people
• Connect with system-aware and relevant news updates, as well as newsletter writing opportunities   
• The ability to take relevant issues that you care about and turn them into a plan-of-action and national awareness
• Connections with other members, such as currently and formerly incarcerated people, and advance your working knowledge on interactions within carceral settings
